Meet Deepa Patel
Deepa is a current second trimester student in the Doctorate of Chiropractic program at NYCC. Prior to coming to New York Chiropractic College, Deepa attended University of Scranton where she earned her B.S. in Neuroscience. After graduation, she worked as a certified nurse’s assistant. Unsatisfied with her job, she decided to search for a career in healthcare that would be more fulfilling. Chiropractic was always in the back of Deepa’s mind between her mother having a successful outcome with a chiropractor, and Deepa’s interest in watching Gonstead technique videos. After researching chiropractic she looked into visiting the New York Chiropractic College Campus. After falling in love with the area and the campus she decided to apply.
Currently Deepa’s favorite part about the curriculum at NYCC are the science based courses. She finds the material she learns to be interesting, and enjoys how the information is presented in clinical scenarios. After graduation she plans on moving back to Pennsylvania and becoming an associate in a high volume clinic. Deepa is exploring the opportunities that the NYCC Master’s programs have to offer, specifically nutrition and acupuncture. She believes that incorporating these approaches to patient care is crucial to the efficacy of chiropractic treatment. Deepa is excited for what the future holds, and is grateful for being welcomed into such a great community.
