Northeast College Announces Spring 2024 Ceremony Week Speakers
Northeast College of Health Sciences has announced its Spring 2024 Ceremony Week guest speakers. Dr. Karen Erickson (D.C. ’88) will address the graduating class during Northeast’s Commencement ceremony, and Dr. Adam Henby will be the keynote speaker at the College's Transitions Ceremony. He will also participate in a special presentation of the Dr. Lloyd E. Henby Distinguished Service Award in honor of his late father, and former Northeast professor.

Teacher, leader and integrative healthcare advocate, Dr. Karen Erickson is a 1988 alumna of Northeast College, known then as New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), has shared her wisdom and passion for health and wellness worldwide.
Media Spokeswoman for the American Chiropractic Association, Erickson has been featured as a healthcare expert on NBC’s TODAY and CNN and in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Oprah Magazine. On July 27, she will speak directly to the Spring 2024 graduates of Northeast College of Health Sciences.
A founding member of the Women’s Health Council and author of textbook chapters on chiropractic and integrative healthcare and pediatric chiropractic, Erickson has led a thriving chiropractic practice in New York City for more than 30 years.
A member of the College’s Board of Trustees for 12 years, and Fellow of the American College of Chiropractic, Erickson will eagerly be welcomed back to the College to share her global experiences and inspire Northeast College’s graduates and next generation of healthcare professionals and leaders.

Northeast College will welcome Dr. Adam Henby as the guest keynote speaker for its Spring 2024 Transitions Ceremony on July 25, 2024. Chiropractic care provider at Compass Medical Center, an integrated medical practice in Grand Junction, Colo.
Adam Henby was an adjunct faculty member of the College for eight years when it was NYCC and is the son of the late Dr. Lloyd E. Henby who was an associate professor at the College from 1993 until shortly before his death in 2006. He was known as a pioneer and legend in the chiropractic profession and at the College, which has a scholarship award honoring his passion and dedication to teaching. Each trimester during the Northeast College's Transitions Ceremony, the Dr. Lloyd E. Henby Distinguished Service Award is presented to one chiropractic student in their seventh trimester who advances the principles of the chiropractic profession through strong moral character, education, leadership and service to the community and profession.

Transitions Ceremony marks seventh-trimester chiropractic students’ shift to the clinical phase of their education, includes the awarding of traditional white clinical coats and will be on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. The culmination of the College’s Ceremony Week, the Commencement Ceremony will be July 27, 2024, and features the presentation of degrees to doctor of chiropractic students and master’s degree graduates in applied clinical nutrition, human anatomy & physiology instruction and diagnostic imaging.
Both ceremonies will be held on the Seneca Falls campus in the Standard Process Health and Fitness Center. The highly anticipated week of events also includes the College’s Commitment to Excellence Pledge event for new chiropractic students in their first trimester.
