Northeast College Mourns Trustee Dr. Ray Tuck
The Northeast College community is deeply saddened to announce that Board of Trustees member Dr. N. Ray Tuck, Jr., has passed away after a brief illness.
Dr. Tuck, a second-generation chiropractor, was a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences and owned several chiropractic practices in southwest Virginia. He was past president of the Virginia Chiropractic Association (VCA) for the History of Chiropractic and was appointed to the Virginia Board of Medicine by that state’s governor; as well, Dr. Tuck was recipient of both the Blacksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the year and the VCA’s Chiropractor of the Year. In addition, Dr. Tuck was past president of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and a past ACA Chiropractor of the Year.
Dr. Tuck joined the Northeast College Board of Trustees in 2019.
“Ray was an absolutely outstanding professional, deeply committed to the study and progress of chiropractic as a cornerstone of healthcare. Even more than that, Ray was a genuinely kind, caring person who generously shared his time and talents with his community. He was an outstanding doctor of chiropractic, and a good friend,” said Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan. “Ray will be very missed, and our thoughts are with his beloved family at this difficult time.”
