Northeast College Mourns Loss of Longtime Trustee Mr. Menzo Case
The Northeast College community is deeply saddened to announce that longtime Board of Trustees member Mr. Menzo Case passed away on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, after a brief illness.
Mr. Case was president and chief executive officer of Generations Bank, taking on that role in 2008. He first joined Generations Bank in 1999 as treasurer and chief financial officer, and became executive vice president in 2002.
In addition to being a leader in banking and business, Mr. Case served in the U.S. Marine Corps and has an extensive record of service in the Seneca Falls and Finger Lakes communities. He was a leader within his church, as well as with many other community organizations including Habitat for Humanity of Seneca County, the National Women’s Hall of Fame and the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency. Mr. Case was named Seneca County Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Citizen of the Year.
Perhaps most importantly, Mr. Case was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
“Menzo’s commitment to Seneca Falls and our region was unparalleled. He was a man of great leadership, faith and action, and there are no words to describe this loss for us all — personally, and as a community,” said Dr. Michael Mestan, president of Northeast College of Health Sciences. “Our hearts go out to his wife Sue and his family at this incredibly difficult time.”
