Northeast College, Mercyhurst University Sign Articulation Agreement

Mercyhurst University, in Erie, Pa., and Northeast College of Health Sciences, with campuses in the Finger Lakes region of N.Y. and the New York City metro area, have signed an articulation agreement, establishing a transfer pathway for students pursuing a degree in chiropractic.
The agreement was formally signed by Mercyhurst President Kathleen A. Getz, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs Rich McCarty, Ph.D., and Vice President for Enrollment Management at Northeast, Amie Redmond, M.S., C.A.S.
The agreement outlines the scope of collaboration and appropriate course work to be completed at Mercyhurst and requirements for admissions to Northeast’s Doctor of Chiropractic program.
Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan said the College community is excited to collaborate with such an esteemed educational institution. "By providing seamless and practical options for admission, we are eager to help Mercyhurst students focus on their education and to make a simplified transition to Northeast and becoming future healthcare professionals."
As an articulation pathway, the agreement provides for 3 + 3 or 4 + 3 articulated degree programs, offering Mercyhurst students flexibility in achieving their degree goals, with a recommended plan but without a rigid timeline. The flexibility acknowledges the diverse educational journeys that students often experience and provides guidance for degree completion in the most efficient manner possible.
"We are committed to helping our students discover their respective career paths and complete both their undergraduate and graduate degrees with efficiency,” said McCarty. “We are excited to provide this partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences and enable our students to meet the workforce needs of our region and beyond."
Northeast has welcomed exceptional students from Mercyhurst University into our M.S. in applied clinical nutrition and our Doctor of Chiropractic programs in the past, and we look forward to welcoming many more students in the future,” said Vice President of Enrollment Amie Redmond.
