Northeast Board Meets, Names New Members
The Northeast College of Health Sciences Board of Trustees convened on campus this Oct. 21-22 for its Fall meeting.
New Trustees
During the meeting, trustees unanimously named two new members to the Board:
Dr. Elaina Pirro-Lombardi (D.C. ’00) is the CEO and owner of Meridian Chiropractic and Wellness in Liverpool, N.Y. She has earned a doctor of chiropractic degree from Northeast College, as well as an M.S. in natural science from the University of Buffalo. Pirro-Lombardi holds diplomate status with the International Board of Electrodiagnosis and has a strong history of leadership, including as past chair and current member of the New York State Board for Chiropractic.
Dr. Kevin Marryshow (D.C. ’11) is a chiropractor and regional director of Myodetox, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He earned a doctor of chiropractic degree from Northeast College, and holds additional credentials as a medical acupuncture provider, functional range provider, and McKenzie MDT provider. Marryshow is also an active volunteer in the community and profession, including as a member of the Northeast College Alumni Advisory Board.
The new trustees will begin their service in March 2023.
Strategic Planning
Also at the meeting, Senior Staff updated the Board on the anticipated conclusion of the College’s BLUEprint: Growing the Future Together Strategic Plan 2021-2023. Great progress has been made over the past several years in support of the College’s identified strategic initiatives, including in areas such as growth and new programs, campus infrastructure, community engagement, and integrated brand marketing. Now, in early 2023, the College look forward to kicking off a new, inclusive strategic planning process that will involve many members of the Northeast community and map out the next phases of the College’s successful future.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for March 2023.
