Nickless Named Dean of School of Health Sciences and Education

NYCC is excited to announce that Dr. Peter Nickless (D.C. '00) has been appointed dean of the College's School of Health Sciences and Education.

Dr. Nickless is a graduate of NYCC's doctor of chiropractic program, and subsequently joined NYCC in 2012 as director of the M.S. in Applied Clinical Nutrition program.  He also holds a master's degree in human nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern New Hampshire, a master's degree in operations and project management from the University of Southern New Hampshire, and a Ph.D. in biomedical informatics from Rutgers University. 

Nickless practiced chiropractic in a variety of settings, and has specialized in sports performance and general wellness. As well, he has practiced in integrative healthcare settings with a strong core belief in the use of chiropractic and nutrition as complementary modalities essential for optimal performance. Nickless previous acted as Kaplan University (now Purdue University Global) Maine campuses' chair of the Medical Assisting Department. He also has experience in teaching and administrating in both online and traditional course delivery formats.  

In his new role as dean, Nickless will oversee the Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN) and Master of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction (MSHAPI) programs.
