SENECA FALLS, N.Y. - Northeast College of Health Sciences is building the future — literally — with the creation of new Integrated Learning Spaces now under construction in the heart of its Seneca Falls Campus.

Learning area under construction

Located within the College’s central Academic 1 building, these state-of-the-art spaces are designed to meet the evolving needs of healthcare education and provide students with immersive, real-world learning experiences. The project will transform the existing area into two large, flexible high-tech classrooms and six new simulated assessment and treatment rooms, designed to replicate modern clinical environments.

“These new spaces are an exciting next step in Northeast College’s commitment to preparing practice-ready healthcare professionals,” said Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan. “By creating environments where students can apply their knowledge in simulated, real-world scenarios, we’re providing them with critical hands-on experience — in a safe, supportive setting — long before they ever step into a clinic or hospital.”

The Integrated Learning Spaces will support a wide range of Northeast College’s health sciences programs, including the Doctor of Chiropractic program, the A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs, and the Massage Therapy certificate program. Most notably, the new facilities will serve as a cornerstone for the College’s proposed Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program, a six-trimester, 24-month hybrid program that combines online coursework with immersive in-person training.

Patient being treated

Northeast’s Vice President of Administrative Services Christopher McQueeney, who is leading the construction project, emphasized that the spaces have been designed with flexibility and future growth in mind. “We’re building learning environments that can adapt to the changing landscape of healthcare education,” McQueeney said. “Our students will learn, practice, and refine their skills using advanced technology and simulated clinical environments that closely mirror what they’ll experience in their professional careers.” The new Integrated Learning Spaces are expected to open for classes in January 2026 and will be part of Northeast’s 286-acre Seneca Falls Campus, which is entirely dedicated to health sciences and healthcare education. The new spaces will complement other cutting-edge facilities on campus, including the College’s Anatomy Center featuring a human cadaver lab and Computerized Anatomy Resource Lab (CARL) with Anatomage 3D visualization/dissection tables.

“As the need for highly skilled healthcare providers continues to grow, Northeast College is leading the way in delivering transformative education,” President Mestan added. “These Integrated Learning Spaces represent our mission in action — preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders to deliver exceptional care in an ever-changing world.”

Northeast College of Health Sciences has applied for Accreditation - Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Northeast College of Health Sciences anticipates matriculating its first class in January 2026, pending achieving Accreditation - Provisional status at the September 2025 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

The Northeast College MS in PA program has applied for and is pending ARC-PA provisional accreditation. Students cannot be matriculated or enrolled without this accreditation. Should the program not receive ARC-PA provisional accreditation, the anticipated program start will be delayed until accreditation is received.
